I hear you man, there's an aweful lot of bullshit going around that I just don't plain care for, things like writing shit on my tombstone without me...or my family's permission...well that'd piss my soul off big time to be honest. I'd haunt their asses to their ****in' graves for that crap. I intend to die a meaningful life, and that life won't be spent purposefully only to have the leaders of my nation to tell me what I died for. I'll live my life however the hell I want to live it, and I'll die for whatever the hell I want to die for. Really twists me the wrong way to hear about "mishaps" like that. That's why I don't watch the news.

Canada's startin' to look better every day, not only would I be free from that crap but I'd also get to use the snow filling my doorway as a fridge when I got snowed in, how awesome would that be?

I now a few movies that are like this situation. Like a few good men. If you haven't watched it yet watch it now because it is a great movie.

Agreed. Hard to watch that one imo.

Platoon ruins my day if I allow it to be watched in my presence. Willem Defoe dying as he did, is sorta a metaphor I guess to this stuff.

Just make sure you move FAR north on the east coast. I'd be lucky to get snow on Christmas here on the west coast.

Something else happened to me earlier. My cousin that I had mentioned in the OP, his wife called mine earlier in the evening, and they had a conversation.

Since he died the way he did (how is not important, i'll simply say it wasn't an enemy gun, which is more than enough to upset most people of sanity), the government had refused her to see his 'box and flag'. As hard as it has been for her, she agreed out of respect for the government and policy.

Well, earlier tonight, she called my wife, hysterical, telling her that they 'lost' him.

LOST HIM. HIS BOX. HE IS IN IT. THEY CANNOT LOCATE IT.

Yeah, I mean as much as I enjoy being an asshole, even I'm not THAT much of an asshole. I'm an ass around here because my best friends and I are used to the whole insulting eachother "all in good fun" thing, (I'll ask everyone here not to take any smartass/semi-insults here seriously for those reasons), but I mean...well I've got a lot of respect for the dead (and the dead's family)...it just pisses me off to all sorts of extreme to hear about things like this.

Well I must say that piexags, your last post helped me understand you much more clearly, and thanks.

I posted this thread because it is off topic and absurd, in relation to guild wars. It specifically states to post NON-GUILD-WARS shit in here, so i did, and naturally, pisstakers appear from the walls, and the deluge begins.

I am losing faith in this site. When I first joined, I was amazed the member count was so very immense. I noticed shortly after that most of these people are never around, or post one liners in pics threads, and otherwise never pseak. So be it, their choice. Then I notice the same 35 or so people who actually seem to participate in more than their own threads, which gives this place a charm for me, and keeps it interesting.

I have tried to not be a pain in anyone's ass (within reason, for when I see reason being ignored, I WILL speak up), and it gets more inane by the day. One minute a thread is sensible, tactful, polite, and even disagreements are somehwat civil, then, 1 out of the same 5 or 6 asshats appear and everything goes straight to hell. It is ALWAYS 1 of the same 5 or 6 gems of idiocy who throw a thread.

They do it on purpose, they do it often, and the keep getting more verbally asinine about it and yet nothing is done, except my threads get closed, or someone else's thread they invaded gets destroyed. Taking it to pm does nothing to stem the ever-rising tide of madness, because only 2 or 3 mods appear to ever DO anything, and when those 2 or 3 mods actually DO something, the usually leave a comment so we know they were there to fix it. The others seem to be logged in at all hours and at random, but I never see the post anymore at all.

This thread was about something I wanted to share that I hoped someone out there in game-obsessed-non-realityville could relate to on a human level, and to express my outrage at a subject that is not fun and games, and it NOT political so much as personal to me and mine, and once again, assclowns turned it into a anusprobe circus of idiocy and sad, putrid brainpans.

I take comfort in the knowledge that when their time comes for the airlock, they will wonder why, and no one will care. You know who you are
